If you are ten directories into your hard drive or network you can’t tell what directory you are in unless you trace back through the folder structure. In Windows Explorer you can always tell exactly where you are just by looking at the title bar or the url bar, I like that.




There should be a button on the upper left of your Finder window (just to the right of the green/yellow/red window control buttons). It has three horizontal lines, and clicking it shows you the full path to your current location.
If you don’t see it, go to View -> Customize Toolbar and add it.
